Privacy Policy

Who we are for this policy

This policy applies to andarbahar.cc, an editorial site owned and operated by the andarbahar.cc editorial team. We are the “Data Fiduciary” for the limited data we process, as that term is defined in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”). What data we collect

Almost none. There is no account, no signup form, no newsletter sign-up box anywhere on this site, no comment section, no chat widget. The only data we process about you is generated automatically when your browser loads a page on andarbahar.cc.

Analytics data

We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views, see which pages are read most, and understand reader behaviour at a population level. When you load a page, Google Analytics receives the following from your browser:

• Page URL you visited (e.g. /rules/) and the URL of the page you came from (referrer).
• Browser type and version (e.g. Chrome 124 on Android).
• Device type (mobile, tablet, desktop) and screen size.
• Approximate geographic location at the city level, derived from your IP address. The IP itself is truncated by Google before storage in line with their EU/India anonymisation settings.
• An anonymous client ID stored as a first-party cookie (_ga). This lets Google count one visitor across multiple page views without identifying the person behind the visits.

We never combine this analytics data with any other identifier because we don’t have any other identifier on you. The data is stored in Google’s regional servers and we keep it for 14 months in the Analytics dashboard, after which it is automatically deleted.

Security and CDN logs

We use Cloudflare to serve the site, block obvious bot traffic, and reduce load times. When a page is requested, Cloudflare logs your IP address, the page URL, your user agent, and a security risk score. These logs are kept for seven days for abuse and security investigation, then automatically purged. We don’t access these logs unless there is a security incident, in which case we look at them to identify the source of the attack.

What we don’t collect

• Your name, email, phone, or address. We have no signup form.
• Any gambling-related data: deposits, withdrawals, wagers, or session lengths at any operator. We don’t have access to operator data and we never see your account information at Funexchange, Playinexch, Mahadev Book, Reddyanna, or anywhere else.
• Payment information. We don’t take payments.
• Aadhaar, PAN, government ID. We never ask. If a page on this domain ever asks you for an ID, the page is not ours and you should email tips@andarbahar.cc.
• Health or financial data of any kind.

Cookies on andarbahar.cc

Three cookies are set when you visit. None of them carry advertising or retargeting payloads. None of them follow you to other sites in any way that links back to you personally.

• _ga / _ga_XXXXXXXX — set by Google Analytics. Stores a randomly generated client ID for 13 months. Used to count unique visitors.
• cf_clearance / __cf_bm — set by Cloudflare. Stores a bot-management token for 30 minutes. Used to verify your browser is not a scraper.
• cookieconsent — set by our own consent banner if you dismiss it. Stores your choice for 6 months so the banner doesn’t reappear on every page.

You can clear these cookies any time via your browser settings. Clearing them does not break the site.

Third-party services and where data goes

We use three external services. We have no affiliate or business relationship with any of them beyond the standard service contract.

• Google Analytics (Google LLC). Anonymous page-view data. Subject to Google’s privacy policy. Data is processed in Google’s regional infrastructure.
• Cloudflare, Inc. CDN, DDoS protection, and bot management. Subject to Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Data stored on Cloudflare’s globally distributed edge infrastructure.
• Google Fonts. When the site loads, your browser fetches the DM Sans and Sora typefaces from Google’s font CDN. Google logs this request with your IP and user agent. We have configured the site to use a privacy-respecting font load where possible.

We do not run third-party advertising trackers. There is no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads tag, no TikTok pixel, no LinkedIn Insight, no programmatic ad network on this site.

Affiliate and outbound links

When you click an “Open Account” or “Visit Site” link to one of the four operators we review, your browser is redirected through a tracking URL that the operator uses to attribute the signup to us. The redirect typically appends a short identifier to the URL. Once you land at the operator’s site, that operator’s privacy policy applies, not ours. We have no view of your activity on those sites.

How long we keep data

• Google Analytics: 14 months, then auto-deleted.
• Cloudflare logs: 7 days, then auto-deleted.
• Email correspondence to editor@ and tips@: 24 months from last reply, then deleted unless we are still investigating a fraud report.

Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

The DPDP Act gives every Indian “Data Principal” several rights over their personal data. We have very little of yours, but where we do, you have the right to:

• Access — ask us what data we hold about you. Since we don’t have an account system, the answer is usually “none” unless you’ve emailed us.
• Correction — ask us to correct anything inaccurate in correspondence you’ve sent us.
• Erasure — ask us to delete email correspondence between us and to delete any analytics data tied to your visits. To delete analytics data, please send the approximate dates of your visits and your IP address to editor@andarbahar.cc. We will request deletion from Google within 30 days.
• Grievance redressal — file a complaint about how we handled your data. The Editor-in-Chief is the designated grievance officer: editor@andarbahar.cc. We will acknowledge within 7 days and respond substantively within 30 days as required by the DPDP Act.
• Withdraw consent — opt out of analytics by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser, by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or by clearing your cookies.

Children

This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has interacted with the site, please write to editor@andarbahar.cc and we will delete the relevant logs.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the law changes, when we add or remove a third-party service, or when we change what data we process. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes (new data categories, new third parties) will be flagged in a banner on the site homepage for at least 14 days after the change.
