Evolution, Ezugi, or Pragmatic: Which Andar Bahar Studio Is Best in India?

Three studios run 90% of India’s live Andar Bahar content

Sit down at any live Andar Bahar table in India tonight, and there is a 9 in 10 chance the studio behind it is one of three: Evolution Gaming, Ezugi, or Pragmatic Play Live. Everything else combined, including SA Gaming, Ebet, and various regional white-label feeds, splits the remaining slice.

We spent the last six months of 2025 logging table counts, dealer shifts, and side-bet menus across all three studios inside the Funexchange lobby. What follows is the honest comparison. Evolution is the biggest name in live casino globally. Malta headquarters, publicly traded on the Swedish stock exchange, and studios in Latvia, Georgia, Malta, Romania, and now dedicated India feeds routed through their New Jersey and Bulgaria hubs. The company reported over €1.7 billion in revenue in 2024. That scale shows up in the product.

When a studio makes that kind of money, it can afford things smaller studios cannot: a month-long dealer academy, in-house camera engineering, and RNG audit contracts with the three most respected labs in the industry.

AB table count

Evolution runs 18 to 22 dedicated Andar Bahar tables during peak IST hours (roughly 7 PM to 11:30 PM). Off-peak, this drops to 12 to 14. On IPL match days, they often add two overflow tables that Funexchange gets access to through the priority feed.

Dealer training

Every Evolution dealer goes through a 4-week programme at their Riga or Tbilisi academy before touching a live table. The first two weeks are camera presence, English clarity, and gameplay mechanics. The next two are stress testing: high-limit rounds, difficult players, table pace under noise. Hindi-speaking dealers get an extra 10 days of Hindi-specific gameplay vocabulary training.

You feel this on the table. Evolution dealers rarely fumble a shuffle, rarely miscall a card, and their pacing is consistent whether the table is full or you are the only player.

Minimum bet

Standard Evolution AB tables sit at ₹100 minimum. They keep 3 or 4 tables at ₹50 minimum on their India-facing feed, usually branded as “Andar Bahar Bet on the Numbers” or “Andar Bahar Classic Low.” Their VIP tables run ₹500 minimum with maximums up to ₹5 lakh per hand.

Side bets available

This is where Evolution really pulls ahead. Their premium tables carry 7 to 8 side bets, including:

Stream quality

Evolution streams at the highest bitrate we have measured in India, and their newest tables (labelled “4K Studio” in the Funexchange lobby filter) run at true 2160p when your connection supports it. On a Jio 5G connection in Mumbai, we clocked round-trip lag from bet close to card reveal at 1.4 seconds. That is fast.

RNG audit history

Evolution is audited by eCOGRA quarterly, GLI annually, and iTech Labs on select markets. Their public compliance page carries live certificates. Their India-facing feed operates under Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) licence MGA/B2B/187/2010, which is the strictest live-casino licence in Europe.

Hindi dealer hours

Hindi dealers work 6 PM to 11 PM IST on standard shifts, with 2 to 3 tables running dedicated Hindi during those windows. During IPL playoffs and Diwali week, they extend this to 4 PM to 1 AM. Outside these hours, dealers switch to English but most understand basic Hindi commands.

Ezugi

Company profile

Ezugi started in Costa Rica in 2013 and got acquired by Evolution in 2019, but they still operate as a standalone brand with their own studios, dealers, and product roadmap. Their India-focused subsidiary opened a full studio in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2020, staffed almost entirely with Hindi and Bengali speaking dealers. This is not a marketing spin. It is a real 40-seat studio.

If Evolution is Toyota (big, reliable, global), Ezugi is more like Maruti Suzuki (built for the Indian market from day one).

AB table count

Ezugi runs 12 to 16 AB tables during India prime time. They keep 6 to 8 tables running 24 hours a day, which nobody else does. Off-peak, you can still find a table with a real Hindi dealer at 3 AM IST.

Dealer training

Ezugi’s dealer training is 3 weeks, one week shorter than Evolution, but the Hindi-first pedagogy is the difference. Trainees are taught the game in Hindi first, then in English. This flip changes how they explain rules, how they handle player questions, and how they react to a fast Hindi command like “andar 500 aur.” They understand it instantly. On Evolution tables, you sometimes see a beat of translation before the dealer reacts.

Ezugi also runs weekly “session refreshers” where dealers watch playback of their own recent shifts. It is boring internal work but it shows up in table quality.

Minimum bet

₹50 minimum on standard tables, and they run one “beginner table” at ₹25 minimum most evenings. This is the lowest live AB minimum in the Indian market. Their VIP cap sits at ₹2 lakh per hand, which is lower than Evolution’s ₹5 lakh, so serious high rollers still lean towards Evolution.

Side bets

Ezugi carries 5 to 6 side bets on premium tables, tuned for Indian player preferences:

The paytables are slightly less generous than Evolution’s, but the side bet minimums are lower (₹20 on some markets versus ₹50 on Evolution).

Stream quality

Standard 1080p, encoded at a lower bitrate than Evolution but still clean. On a 4G connection in Tier 2 cities like Indore or Kanpur, we saw fewer stalls on Ezugi streams than on Evolution 4K feeds, which makes sense because a smaller stream is easier to deliver over patchy networks.

RNG audit

Ezugi is audited by BMM Testlabs quarterly, with their card-recognition system separately certified by GLI. Licensed under Costa Rica primary and Malta secondary. BMM is respected in the industry though less brand-recognised than eCOGRA.

Hindi dealer hours

This is where Ezugi wins outright. Hindi dealers run from 6 AM to 2 AM IST on most days, with only a 4-hour overnight gap where the dealers rotate. During IPL and festival weeks, they push to 24-hour Hindi coverage on 3 to 4 tables. If a Hindi dealer matters to your play, Ezugi is the clear pick.

Pragmatic Play Live

Company profile

Pragmatic Play started as a slots studio and expanded into live casino in 2018. Malta licence, Isle of Man secondary licence, studios in Bucharest and Sofia. They are sports-book adjacent, meaning most operators who use their live product also use their virtual sports and slots feeds. Bundling makes Pragmatic cheaper for operators, which is why smaller Indian sites gravitate to Pragmatic even when Evolution is a better product.

AB table count

10 to 14 tables in India prime time. Off-peak drops to 6 to 8. Their table growth has been aggressive; they added 4 new AB tables in 2025 alone. Expect this number to keep climbing.

Dealer training

Pragmatic uses a mix of Europe-based dealers and locally trained staff in Bucharest. The training programme is 3 weeks but less structured than Evolution’s or Ezugi’s. Some dealers are excellent. Others are visibly newer. The quality variance is higher than the other two.

Pragmatic’s advantage is table tempo. Their dealers are trained to resolve rounds faster, which means more hands per hour. If you play by round volume, Pragmatic squeezes 60 to 65 rounds per hour where Evolution and Ezugi average 50 to 55.

Minimum bet

₹100 standard. They do not run ₹50 tables. VIP tables cap at ₹3 lakh per hand.

Side bets

4 to 5 side bets, more conservative than the other two studios:

Paytables are decent but variance is lower, which suits their fast-tempo positioning.

Stream quality

1080p standard. Their newer tables carry HDR encoding which looks cleaner on OLED phone screens. Faster tempo means the round cycle is tighter but the reveal animation is trimmed shorter. Some players like this. Others find it feels rushed.

RNG audit

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) quarterly audits. Card-recognition system verified separately by iTech Labs. Malta and Isle of Man licences are both good but GLI-only audit is a lighter setup than Evolution’s triple-audit stack.

Hindi dealer hours

Limited. Roughly 7 PM to 10 PM IST on 2 tables, sometimes 3 during weekends. Outside these hours, all Pragmatic tables run English-only dealers. If Hindi matters to you, this is the weakest option of the three.

Best for high rollers: Evolution

If you play ₹5,000+ per hand and want VIP treatment, Evolution wins here without argument. Their VIP tables run up to ₹5 lakh per hand, they have private-room options during peak hours, and the side bet variety gives you 7 to 8 markets to distribute risk across.

Look for “Evolution VIP” tables in the lobby filter. The dealers on these tables are their most senior staff, the streams are their highest bitrate feeds, and the table service (drink acknowledgements, name recognition, longer decision windows) is noticeably better than standard tables.

Best for speed players: Pragmatic

If you play 200 rounds in a session and want to burn through hands fast, Pragmatic’s 60 to 65 rounds per hour is the highest tempo in the market. Their reveal animations are trimmed and the dealer resolution is quick. You will play 20% more hands per hour on Pragmatic than on Evolution.

Best for Hindi speakers: Ezugi

Ezugi is the clear pick for Hindi-first players. 6 AM to 2 AM Hindi coverage, three to four dedicated Hindi tables at all times during that window, and dealers trained in Hindi from day one. The dealers are not translating from English; they are playing the game in their first language. That shows up in pacing, in humour, in how they handle a nervous first-timer.

Ezugi’s Hindi coverage is even better than most Bollywood-facing tables at brick-and-mortar Goa casinos. That is not exaggeration. Their Sofia studio has more Hindi-speaking staff than most physical casinos in India employ.

How to filter by studio on Funexchange
